TWP envisions a future where people everywhere have opportunities to engage in work they can be proud of, and that their livelihoods contribute to the wellbeing of their families, communities, and the planet.
We are an environmental organization with a human focus. Nothing in our mission can be accomplished without dedicated people at every step of the way - from our staff, to our donors, and most importantly to the people in the communities we serve.

Our work honors the interconnectedness between people and our environment, and we believe that a sustainable future is only possible when young people, women and girls, and Indigenous peoples have a real say in decisions that affect their well-being.
TWP cultivates local excellence by partnering with existing organizations, including nonprofits, small businesses, and Tribal governments, to support the goals and aspirations of the communities they serve. We want our legacy to include a network of influential organizations in the places we work, that employ local people in resolving the challenges they face.
The scale and impacts of climate change demand urgency in our response, and require us to be thought leaders in how we approach problems and test solutions. We partner with universities, businesses, and local organizations to understand how climate change is impacting cultural and natural resources, then co-create regenerative approaches to reduce climate pressures.
Problems that have been centuries in the making can’t be solved with transactional, short-term, project based approaches. Equitable funding partnerships that invest in long-term change allow us to extend that same grace to our partners, who are fighting to protect their territories, resources, rights, and lifeways.
